Stella H. Kim presenting on "Tackling HR Challenges At Each Business Life Cycle Stage"

On Friday, August 23, 2024, KOCHAM (Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the USA) hosted their annual Employment Seminar on Guide to Successful Recruitment and Labor Management.

Over 60 professionals attended this online seminar that featured CMO and Head of Americas, Stella H. Kim, and Labor and Business Partner at Lim & Partners, Joshua S. Lim, speaking on HR challenges and solutions and legal aspects of managing workforce-related issues, respectively.

Stella opened the Labor Seminar by discussing HR and recruitment challenges encountered during the various phases of the business life cycle, from early-stage startups to maturing companies. After identifying these challenges at each phase, she presented different strategies that will address each problem, while providing case studies of companies that have successfully implemented these strategies and practical takeaways to enhance their HR operations.

Following Stella’s presentation, Attorney Lim, a prominent labor law expert, uncovered key labor issues, covering labor law and staying compliant with both federal and state law, specifically, maternity and paternity leave, sick leave, and disability.

The seminar offered valuable insights for both HR leaders and legal professionals, equipping them with actionable strategies to tackle the ever-evolving challenges of workforce management. Throughout the seminar, both speakers highlighted the importance of aligning HR and legal strategies with a company's growth trajectory. By addressing issues early on and adapting solutions to the company’s stage of development, they noted that businesses could not only avoid common pitfalls but also create stronger, more resilient organizations.
