We are proud to announce that our Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Americas, Stella H. Kim, has been honored by NJBIZ Magazine as a 2024 Forty Under 40 Honoree. This prestigious recognition is a testament to her exceptional achievements and significant contributions to futureproofing the HR industry, leading the Asian-American community, driving DEI efforts, and shaping the economic future of New Jersey.
NJBIZ, a leading business journal in New Jersey, launched the “Forty Under 40” program in 2006 to celebrate professionals who have demonstrated outstanding business success, strong leadership qualities, and a commitment to giving back to their communities. An independent panel of judges carefully selected honorees through a meticulous process. These judges assessed candidates based on their professional accomplishments, community service, educational background, and overall achievements.
Stella's recognition as the only East Asian female honoree in the past four years is a significant milestone for representation and diversity within the New Jersey business community. Her achievement serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of diverse voices and perspectives in leadership roles, contributing to a more inclusive and innovative business environment.
Stella joined HRCap in 2016 to help expand and modernize the organization. She built the Executive Search Practice from the ground up and turned the division into one of the fastest-growing and most profitable divisions within HRCap in just 3 years. HRCap was named "2022, 2023, and 2024 Top 10 Executive Search Firm" by Manage HR Magazine for 3 consecutive years, then "2023 Top 10 HR Consulting Firm in Asia-Pacific," "2023 Top 10 Executive Search Firm in Asia-Pacific," and "2023 Top 5 Executive Search Firm in South Korea". Stella has raised the bar of the global recruiting industry – effectively partnering with over 1500 client organizations to identify best-fit candidates while offering consultative human experience for candidates to find better-fitted career opportunities. Stella has led the organization on over 400 executive placements and closed more than 1200 global positions – 69.2% of which are women executives & rising professionals. Stella has coached 10,000+ candidates, activating their self-awareness, leadership potential, and career vision.
With the onset of COVID-19, she has also spearheaded the Global Digital Transformation team focused on building and leading agile projects that help automate processes and conduct data-driven industry research for HRCap, client groups, and the greater Global HR Industry. In successfully delivering placements, she has mobilized the job market in New Jersey, driven up the US labor economy, developed multicultural and multigenerational workforces, built the Asian-American communities, and advocated for Women Leadership representation during her tenure with HRCap. Under her modern leadership, HRCap was named “2021 New Jersey Best Places to Work” by NJBIZ Magazine and "2023 Empowering Women Organization" by NJBIZ Magazine.
In response to receiving this recognition, Stella expressed her gratitude and underscored the importance of diversity in her field:
“I am deeply honored to be recognized by NJBIZ as a Forty Under 40 honoree. This recognition is a testament to the hard work of my dedicated teams at HRCap and the community of Asian American leaders and women mentors around me. Diversity and representation are crucial in driving scalable growth and fostering a more equitable landscape for the future of work. I am committed to promoting greater representation of Asian American Women leaders in their respective industries, functions, and communities. I sincerely hope this award inspires others to pursue their vocational callings and contribute to a diverse and dynamic future for New Jersey.”
Stella’s journey is a reflection of her unwavering dedication and visionary leadership. From her early career days to her current role as our CMO, she has consistently shown a commitment to excellence and a drive for positive transformation in the recruiting and HR industry. As we celebrate this remarkable achievement, we look forward to her continued contributions to our organizations, the Asian American community, the NJ economy, and the global recruitment landscape.
