After analyzing market research with candidate feedback and LinkedIn data, HRCap identified the top 10 acquired industry-agnostic skills among the current active bilingual candidate pool as: Leadership (21.1%), Communication (20.7%), Teamwork (18.8%), Organization (17.7%), Technical Literacy (9.5%), Decision-Making (4.4%), Adaptability (4.2%), Initiative (2.0%), Dependability (1.2%), and Empathy (0.4%).


 While this data highlights the skills needed to be effective in any job, it also shows that social-emotional skills such as empathy are still lacking in the workplace. As organizations begin to prioritize candidates’ soft skills more than just their education, candidates must learn to proactively develop new skills and transfer existing skills to become indispensable.
