Announcing our 2022 Next-Gen Scholarship Winners

Written by HRCap, Inc.

October 6, 2022

HRCap closed out our 2022 HRCap Next-Gen Scholarship on August 31, 2022, and received 180 unique submissions from student leaders with close to 25 distinct ethnic Asian groups. Of the 180 applicants, we have chosen 30 finalists.

The HRCap Scholarship Jury Panel of 18 then carefully reviewed the top 10 profiles showcasing extracurricular activities, schools, academic achievements, and essays – all with their names redacted to remove any bias.

The panel reviewed and judged each student profile to identify the 6 scholars based on their extracurricular activities, leadership roles, academic achievements, and how well their essays answered the following two prompts: (1) What does your AAPI culture mean to you and/or why are you interested in Asian American studies/languages? (2) HRCap values service excellence, professionalism, integrity, cultural bridge, and human development. How do you display HRCap's values as a leader in your community?

After careful consideration, we are proud to announce the winners of our inaugural HRCap Next-Gen Leadership Scholarship.

HRCap 2022 Next-Gen Leadership Scholarship Winners

These 6 winners have gone above and beyond by demonstrating strong academic skills, leadership qualities, and HRCap core values in their respective communities and schools. We are excited to see them grow into future leaders with excellence and integrity.

It was challenging to narrow down from 30 finalists because all of them had amazing profiles and displayed great leadership qualities through their essays.

As such, we have compiled a booklet highlighting the winners’ and finalists’ essays to share their unique voices with our community.

Please join us in celebrating our next-gen leaders and supporting them to rise up as AAPI leaders.
